Bio

Christy is a longtime mover and a shaker from The Twin Cities of Minnesota. She’s a
songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, disc jockey, booker and promoter. Hailing from The Iron
Range of Northern Minnesota, she is no stranger to the great outdoors. Her music blends
the raw ferocity of nature’s elements with the electric energy of a house show and the
adrenaline rush of an all-night disco. Rooted in late ’70s punk, post-punk, and power pop,
her sound leaves room for a little of everything else.
Christy’s first-rate songwriting has been showcased in previous bands Pink Mink and
Ouija Radio, as well as her raw and unforgettable stage performances in The Von Bondies (guitar/backing vocals), Butcher’s Union (with members of Dillinger Four, guitar/vocals),
Monica LaPlante (bass/backing vocals), The Extraterrestrials (vocals/hype). She released
her first solo record ‘From the Dark’ in February of 2024 to many rave reviews. She is currently working on a documentary about Twin Cities Femme Fronted Punk called ‘15 Minutes of Femme’ to be out in late Spring of 2027. Her band, The CC Club, Austin Cecil, Orion Treon, Stevie Jo Murck, Tim Kingstrom and Mike Schierman are a cast of characters from the vibrant Minneapolis Music Scene. They have been touring and are currently set to record the next record in the summer of 2027.

Christy’s recording line up and mostly live line-up includes Monica LaPlante (bass) Orion Treon (guitar/synth) Austin Cecil (drums) and Tim Kingstrom (Sax and Keys).  But she often rotates musicians and has added Matthew Leonard Graves on (guitar and backup vocals), Crystal Stockert (off and on bass, extra drums, percussion and backup vocals) and sometimes Ronnie DiCola (drums).
